Gutters, lights & handyman
in Lincolnwood.
Lincolnwood is about 15 minutes from me. Gutter cleaning, a roof check with photos, holiday lights and handyman jobs at flat prices, with a written quote first.

What I look for in Lincolnwood
Lincolnwood is mostly brick ranches and split-levels from the 1950s and 1960s on wide lots. Ranches have long, low gutter runs that collect leaves along their whole length.
Wide lots mean long front rooflines, which work well for holiday lights. When I clean gutters I also check that every downspout drains away from the foundation.
Fall prices in Lincolnwood
The same flat prices as everywhere in my area. Roof repairs go to a licensed Illinois roofer (I may receive a referral fee); I inspect and send photos.
Full fall offer and guaranteeFree quote from a photo. You get the price in writing before I start.
If you book your holiday light install by November 10, I take the lights down in January at no charge.
Small jobs, real prices
Mounting, furniture assembly, drywall patches, doors and fixtures. The minimum visit is $120 and every price is on the services page.
All services and pricesMounting & AV
TVs, mirrors, shelves, picture rails, cameras and smart doorbells. I find the studs, drill clean holes and get it level, which is the part most people don't want to do twice.
IKEA & furniture assembly
The IKEA furniture that eats your whole Saturday. Most items take me 1 to 3 hours depending on size: PAX wardrobes, BESTÅ, KALLAX, MALM, BILLY, KIVIK and the rest.
Drywall & paint
Patches, dents, doorknob holes, ceiling cracks, and the spot where the last owner moved the thermostat. I can leave it ready for paint, or finish it and match the color.
Doors & hardware
Doors that drag, latches that won't catch, loose knobs and locks that need replacing. Interior or exterior, except installing a full pre-hung exterior door.
Fixtures & swap-outs
The "take the old one off, put the new one on" jobs that somehow turn into three trips to Home Depot. I do them right the first time and clean up after.
Outdoor & gutters
Single-story outside work: deck staining, gutter cleaning and fence board swaps. Suburbs only, because Chicago properties come with access problems I leave to bigger crews.

Fall questions, plain answers.
How is the gutter price set?
It depends on the house: one story or two, how long the gutter runs are, and how full they are. Send a photo of the front of the house and I'll give you the exact price in writing before I start, so the price on the day is the one you agreed to.
Do I need to be home?
Not for gutter cleaning, as long as I can get into the yard, with the gate unlocked and pets inside. I text you before and after photos when I'm done. For holiday lights, leave the lights out and tell me which outdoor outlet to use.
What's in the roof photos?
Every roof slope I can safely see or reach from the ladder: shingles, the flashing around the chimney and vents, moss, and anything that looks like it could leak. They come by text with a short note in plain English.
Do you repair roofs?
No. Illinois requires a state roofing license for roof repairs, and I don't have one. If the photos show a problem, I'll connect you with a licensed Illinois roofer (I may get a referral fee).
When is the best time to clean gutters?
Once most of the leaves are down, which around here is usually November, and again in spring. Houses under big oaks or maples often need a second cleaning in the fall. The fall + spring plan books both for you.
What if it rains or it's windy?
I don't work on ladders in rain, strong wind or ice. The job moves to the next dry day, and there's no fee for that.
Do I have to buy the holiday lights?
No. I can hang your own lights, or bring new LED strands at cost plus 15% that you keep. They plug into an outdoor outlet you already have. New outlets or wiring are a job for an electrician.
What if my gutters overflow after you clean them?
If gutters I cleaned overflow within 30 days, I come back and clean them again for free. Anything I install, mount or repair is guaranteed for a year.
